BACK TO HOMEPAGE

I enjoy escaping from the city and seeing some of the beautiful scenery that abounds in the Southwest. Most of the photos you will see here are from hikes, road trips, and vacations I have taken in places such as Red Rock and Valley of Fire Parks (both just outside of Las Vegas, NV) as well as Yosemite National Park (CA), Pacific Coast Highway (CA), Saguaro National Park (AZ), Duck Creek (UT), Lake Powell (AZ/UT), and Death Valley (CA).

On my website I have for sale any of my pictures in poster sized prints or stretched canvas prints.  If you like any of the pictures I have displayed in my blog you can also go to my main site under Gallery 3 and choose the size and type you want and type in the comment box the title of the blog post and I will send you that picture!

Thank you and enjoy :)

Wild Horses & Burrows @ Cold Creek, NV - 1/24/10

This was my 2nd trip to Cold Creek.  I was disappointed as I didn't see any Horses/Burrows along the road.  I thought I might have better luck spotting them on one of the off road trails.  After getting my 4x4 temporarily stuck I made it back to the road and found one group along the road.  I was prepared with treats for them this time...a 25 pound bag of carrots and a bag of apples.

A few of these up close images (such as # 10) may not work well in all sizes as croping may be needed.  Please inquire if you are interested in ordering one of these.  Let me know what size(s) you are interested in.

I can do a trial upload to see if that size works or if a similar custom size will work.

Wild Horses & Burrows @ Cold Creek, NV - 01/17/10

This was my 1st trip to Cold Creek.  I was very suprised to find 3 seperate groups of 8-10 Horses/Burrows along the road.  There were other groups of them further away.  Most of them are fairly tame and were looking for food.

A Candyland Christmas - 12/16/08

Winter Wonderland in Las Vegas! This is one of those rare happenings in Las

Vegas and I was lucky enough to have the day off so I could play in the

snow. Don't these snow mounds look like gumdrops? It reminds me of the

board game Candy Land.

This Picture reminds me of an Irish Spring Commercial. It's a long and

strenuous hike to this Waterfall at Yosemite but it's well worth the effort.

Early in the morning after this hike I woke up with my knees aching so much

I wanted to cry, but I'll do it again!

Raccoon Dreams - 10/1/05

This is the patio view of the Merced River from a hotel I have stayed at several times just outside of Yosemite. I had planned on sleeping with my patio door open so I could go to sleep to the relaxing sound of the river. However, after being greeted on my patio by a raccoon that was in no hurry to leave I decided to sleep with the door closed. I had visions of waking up with a raccoon on my bed staring at me!
